The inauguration ceremony of Serbia’s second “Fire Eye” virus testing laboratory, which was designed and donated by Chinese companies, was held on July 30 in the southern city of Nis.
Serbian Prime Minister Brnabic, Minister of Health Roncar, and Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Chen Bo attended the inauguration ceremony. In his speech, Burnabic said that the Nis “Fire Eye” laboratory is the most advanced virus testing laboratory in the region, and it only took three months from its construction to its official opening.
Burnabic expressed his gratitude to China for its help. She said that since the outbreak of the epidemic, Serbia’s new crown virus detection capacity has increased by 20 times, playing a key role in the fight against the epidemic. The completion of the two “Huoyan” laboratories will not only help control the epidemic, but will also improve Serbia’s medical standards and benefit the local people.
Chen Bo said that this is another example of China and Serbia fighting the epidemic together, and also another result of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of health and high-tech. Chinese companies in Serbia are fighting the epidemic side by side with Serbia and restoring the economy side by side. It is believed that the “hardcore” friendship between the two countries will be stronger and cooperation will achieve more and more results.
Nis Lab is the second “Fire Eye” lab in Serbia. All equipment is donated by China Zijin Mining. China Huada Group provides equipment supply, laboratory design and technical support. The first “Fire Eye” laboratory was completed and put into use on April 20 in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. The combined maximum daily detection volume of the two laboratories is 3000 samples.
Serbia and China work together to fight the epidemic and hope that the epidemic will end as soon as possible and the economy will recover as soon as possible.
